Nanki-Katsuura catches more tuna from nearby waters than anywhere else in Japan.
And, being that we are in Katsuura, Hotel Urashima prepares a wide variety of tuna based dishes.
In addition, Hotel Urashima offers a diverse assortment of foods to choose from,
including standard dishes liked by the young and old alike, and cuisine prepared with seasonal ingredients.

Tuna Carving Show

Everyday in our buffet restaurant, chefs demonstrate how to carve a whole tuna!
Guests are entertained by their knife wielding skills in anticipation of a delicious meal.
Plus, the carved tuna is served right then and there, so guests are invited to savor the goodness of freshly sliced tuna.

Dynamic carving, filleting and slicing

Tuna Carving Show

The warm waters of the Kuroshio Current provide an abundant source of seafood all year-round, which guest at Hotel Urashima can enjoy given its location right on the Pacific Ocean.
In particular, local ports catch more tuna than anywhere else in Japan, so guests should definitely try the tuna when in season.

Guests can eat all they want of the freshly carved tuna.

Half Buffet

This meal plan is recommended for those who like buffets but do not want to miss out on Kaiseki cuisine while in Katsuura.
